The 16th Annual Race for the Future 5K Run/Walk and Kids Dash to benefit the Lee's Summit Educational Foundation and the Carrie Foresee Memorial Scholarship Fund was a great success. The race, held Sat. Oct. 13, 2012, had over 1100 participants (961 5K, 115 Dream Partners and 85 Kids Dash).  This was the largest amount of participation to date, and the weather cooperated! 

Thanks to all the school teams that participated.  The top schools with the largest percentage of staff and student participation were #1 Hazel Grove Elementary; #2 Sunset Valley Elementary and #3 Cedar Creek Elementary.  Congratulations to all the schools who host successful running clubs that encourage student and family fitness.

Thanks, also, to all the sponsors, volunteers and certainly participants who helped make this Race successful.
