The Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation believes the education of our children helps provide the cornerstone of a healthy community. Through Foundation funding, we continue helping students reach beyond classroom boundaries, to stretch their minds and to inspire creativity. Each year the Foundation hosts several events to help raise funds to support classroom grants, scholarships and awards.

Race for the Future 5K Run/Walk & Kid's Dash
This annual event is held the second Saturday of October.  For more details on sponsoring or participating, please click the Race for the Future link in the tool bar to the left. 

Major Saver Dining Cards
Major Saver Dining Cards provide hearty discounts at 15 area restaurants or attractions.  Each year, Lee's Summit residents look forward to helping their local elementary school and Educational Foundation by purchasing these cards for $10 each and using them at local business establishments.  Think of it as our own Lee's Summit stimulus package!  In 2009-10, the Foundation and elementary schools collectively earned $78,190 through Major Saver dining card sales.  Dates scheduled for the 2010-11 Major Saver campaign are Monday, February 7, 2011 through Monday, February 14, 2011.  For more information, please contact the Foundation office at 986-1015.

Hy-Vee Dollars for Scholars
PTAs and/or school groups who save Hy-Vee receipts from our two local Hy-Vee stores can submit those receipts to the designated Hy-Vee representative and receive 85 cents in store credit (Hy-Vee gift cards) for their school/group and 15 cents for the Foundation for every $200 spent, up to $2,000 per school. Receipts can be submitted to any school or to the Foundation. Reimbursement forms and details are available in the Foundation office or by clicking on the link below.

Apparel and Spirit Wear
For every school, PTA, booster group, student group or sports team who orders apparel, spirit wear, water bottles, lanyards, jackets, etc. through the following two companies, the Foundation receives 10% cash back which provides additional funding for district programs.
