Annual Fund Drive
The Lee's Summit Educational Foundation's 2010-2011 Annual Fund Drive will provide $275,000 in funding for students throughout the entire district. The following areas have been identified as priority concerns this year:
- Audio Enhanced Classrooms for ALL First Grade Students Districtwide – $110,000
Last year's Annual Fund Drive success provided Audio Enhanced Classrooms for all kindergarten students across the district. The positive feedback from teachers, students and parents told us loud and clear that we needed to extend this opportunity to first grade. With your help, that's just what we'll do. - Classroom Technology Districtwide – $70,000
District budget cuts impact every area of our school district including technology purchases. We want to continue giving our students technological advantages by helping provide SMART Technology, laptops, etc. for classrooms across the district. - PEAK Grants, Pre-K through 12 – $55,000
PEAK Grants are competitive classroom grants that teachers apply for each year through the Foundation. There are currently 46 grants in action across the district helping make learning come alive! With your gifts, we will continue providing these annual creative learning opportunities. - Endowment – $40,000
Like you, our Foundation board members are parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, business owners and operators. Like you, they have a vision for ensuring educational success in our community. With that goal in mind, they understand the importance of responsibly building a fund that, through annual earnings, will provide ongoing revenue for amazing educational programs for students!
